The Bible’s Number 22 — Twenty-Two — (continued) from main numbers page. For those interested, this page has additional evidences showing how number 22 in the BIble is associated with Jesus the Suffering Servant.

An overwhelming amount of chapter/verse number evidence for #22

Literally everywhere you look in the Bible you can find numbers associating Jesus with number 22. Many of these are with numbers you never see in your own study because they are not printed in your Bible. For example:

  • The 220th verse the Lord gives the rainbow – of the Bible speaks of the Lord bringing the rainbow — seems to point to a reference to Jesus – Gen 9:14 “It shall come about, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow will be seen in the cloud” .
  • The 22,000th verse the Lord’s consequences to nations – of the Bible speaks of the Lord being finished with the nation of Israel because they have turned away from him. This 22,000th verse is also a 911 verse which seems to associate both numbers related to consequences to nations who turn from God – Dan 9:11 “Indeed all Israel has transgressed Your law and turned aside, not obeying Your voice; so the curse has been poured out on us, …for we have sinned against Him“.
  • The 27,222nd verse Jesus declares who he is – records Jesus appearing to Saul/Paul — Act 9:5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” And He said, “I am Jesus whom you are persecuting,
  • The Bible’s 22n22 verses – (where n is 0-9) all appear to point to Jesus or the Lord – The 22,022nd verse says – Dan 10:6 His body also was like beryl, his face had the appearance of lightning, his eyes were like flaming torches, his arms and feet like the gleam of polished bronze, and the sound of his words like the sound of a tumult”. The 22622nd verse says — Mic 4:1 “And it will come about in the last days That the mountain of the house of the LORD Will be established as the chief of the mountains….“.
  • The New Testament’s 2,222nd verse and the Return of the Lord- Luke 10:3 “Go; behold, I send you out as lambs in the midst of wolves”.
  • The Bible’s 22,014th verse (two most significant Jesus numbers 14/22) – This well known verse of prophecy tells of the time until the coming of the Lord which is 70 weeks — Dan 9:25 says “from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks;…“.

An Abundance of 22 chapter and verse references point to the Lord/Jesus

The following are a long list of verses to make the point of how many 22 referenced verses have very strong textual references to Jesus. Watch for them here and then observe these and more in your own Bible study. Note that thousands of Bible patterns demonstrate that even verse references such as 2:2 or 2:20 are considered associated with the number 22.

  1. Isa 22:14 But the LORD of hosts revealed Himself to me, “Surely this iniquity shall not be forgiven you Until you die,” says the Lord GOD of hosts.
  2. Isa 22:22 “Then I will set the key of the house of David on his shoulder, When he opens no one will shut, When he shuts no one will open.
  3. Dan 9:22 He gave {me} instruction and talked with me and said, “O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you insight with understanding.
  4. Matt 1:22 Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet:
  5. Matt 2:2 “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.”
  6. Matt 4:22 Immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.
  7. Matt 7:22 “Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’
  8. Matt 17:22 And while they were gathering together in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men;
  9. Matt 22:2 “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son.
  10. Matt 23:22 “And whoever swears by heaven, swears {both} by the throne of God and by Him who sits upon it.
  11. Matt 25:22 “Also the one who {had received} the two talents came up and said, ‘Master, you entrusted two talents to me. See, I have gained two more talents.’
  12. Matt 27:22 Pilate *said to them, “Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” They all *said, “Crucify Him!”
  13. Mrk 2:20 “But the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast in that day.

  17. Luke 4:22 And all were speaking well of Him, and wondering at the gracious words which were falling from His lips; and they were saying, “Is this not Joseph’s son?”
  18. Luke 6:22 “Blessed are you when men hate you, and ostracize you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man.
  19. Luke 7:22 And He answered and said to them, “Go and report to John what you have seen and heard: {the} BLIND RECEIVE SIGHT, {the} lame walk, {the} lepers are cleansed, and {the} deaf hear, {the} dead are raised up, {the} POOR HAVE THE GOSPEL PREACHED TO THEM.
  20. Luke 9:22 saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed and be raised up on the third day.”
  21. Luke 14:22 “And the slave said, ‘Master, what you commanded has been done, and still there is room.’
  22. Luke 19:22 “He *said to him, ‘By your own words I will judge you, you worthless slave. Did you know that I am an exacting man, taking up what I did not lay down and reaping what I did not sow?

Patterns of 22:22 Like Referenced Verses

There are 18 total Bible verses that have a like chapter and verse number and they are one of many sets of evidences that associate Jesus #22 with Jesus, God’s Suffering Servant –

  • Lev 22:22 Those that are blind or fractured or maimed or having a running sore or eczema or scabs, you shall not offer to the LORD,…(a perfect sacrafice is required).
  • Num 22:22 …God was angry…and the angel of the LORD took his stand in the way as an adversary against him. Now he was riding on his donkey and his two servants were with him.
  • Josh 22:22 “The Mighty One, God, the LORD, the Mighty One, God, the LORD! He knows, and may Israel itself know. If it was in rebellion, or if in an unfaithful act against the LORD do not save us this day!
